AWB Co. is a rapidly growing building services company operating across Perth and Adelaide. Established in 2014, we provide high-quality building, electrical, plumbing and gas fitting services to government and commercial clients, with a strong focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter – Maintenance to join our friendly and supportive team based in Osborne Park.

Working primarily across government maintenance contracts, you’ll service a variety of government sites across Perth, both north and south of the river. You’ll be supported by a dedicated administration team who manage your daily scheduling, allowing you to focus on delivering quality workmanship.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Complete carpentry and general building works across maintenance and minor projects.

- Carry out reactive, scheduled and preventative maintenance.

- Repair and replace doors, door hardware, cabinetry, walls and ceilings.

- Complete timber framing, general carpentry and minor joinery works.

- Install fixtures, grab rails and building hardware.

- Complete minor refurbishments, alterations and make-good works following other trades.

- Assist with scoping, planning and preparation of works, including interpreting plans and drawings.

- Measure, source and prepare materials to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.

- Diagnose faults and apply practical problem-solving skills to resolve building issues.

- Use iPhone/iPad and company systems to manage jobs, schedules and job requirements.

- Maintain accurate records,



including works completed and materials used.

- Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with building codes, regulations and company requirements.

Requirements

- Qualified Carpenter – Current trade qualification

- Experienced – Minimum 3 years' carpentry or maintenance experience

- Industry Experience – Government or commercial maintenance experience highly regarded

- Ready to Work – Valid driver's licence, Police Clearance, White Card and current Working at Heights certificate

- Well Equipped – Own carpentry trade tools; specialty tools provided by AWB Co.

- Problem Solver – Robust troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Team Player – Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

- Tech Savvy – Confident using mobile technology; SimPRO experience highly regarded

- Professional – Strong communication and customer service skills

- Safety Focused – Good understanding of building codes, safety requirements and industry best practice
