About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Training Coordinator to join our team in Darwin, NT. This is a full-time position based in Darwin, where you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering our training and assessment programmes. As Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of training courses, ensuring compliance with national standards and maintaining the highest quality of educational outcomes. This role is essential to our purpose of equipping individuals and organisations with the competencies needed to respond effectively to water-related emergencies and maintain safe work practices.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule training courses, workshops, and assessment sessions across the Northern Territory

- Manage all administrative aspects of training programmes, including enrolment, course materials, record-keeping, and certification processes

- Liaise with trainers, assessors, key stakeholders and participants to ensure smooth delivery of training and assessment activities





- Maintain accurate training records and documentation in compliance with national standards and legislative requirements

- Develop and update training schedules, venue bookings, and resource allocation to optimise programme delivery

- Provide administrative support to training staff and manage correspondence with clients and participants

- Assist in the promotion and marketing of training programmes through various channels to attract participants

- Ensure training facilities and resources are adequately maintained and prepared for course delivery

- Monitor and evaluate training programme outcomes and participant feedback to support continuous improvement

- Support compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory standards, and Royal Life Saving Society policies and procedures

What we're looking for

- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110

- Proven experience in a training coordination, administration, or workplace training and assessment role

- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

- Proficiency with computer systems and office software, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets

- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about workplace training, assessment standards,



and compliance requirements

- A commitment to water safety and an understanding of the Royal Life Saving Society's mission and values

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and administrative tasks

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team

- Ability to travel across the Northern Territory and work weekends as rostered

- Must hold current NT Working with Children Clearance

- Ability to meet Fit & Proper Persons requirements

- Relevant qualifications in training coordination, business administration, or workplace training and assessment are preferred
