Leichhardt is an independent, Australian-owned solar salt project headquartered in Perth with operations in northern Western Australia. Our sites include the Lake MacLeod operations near Carnarvon and the Eramurra Project, 55km outside Karratha.

Lake MacLeod also produces approximately 1Mtpa of gypsum, predominantly exported to the Asia-Pacific region. Our gypsum operation includes excavation and water leaching to produce a plasterboard and cement grade product.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our Projects and Construction team at Lake MacLeod on a on an initial 6-month maximum term contract, with the potential for a further 6-month extension subject to project requirements and approvals. Reporting to the Construction & Shutdown Manager, you will provide onsite leadership and client-side supervision of construction works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs, quality standards and environmental requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee contractors,
coordinate construction activities and contribute to the successful delivery of key infrastructure projects across site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of health, safety and environmental performance across all construction activities.
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction works including earthworks, roads, drainage, culverts, levees, pads and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor contractor performance and progress against schedules and project deliverables.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate activities between contractors, operations, maintenance, engineering and other stakeholders.
- Review and monitor quality assurance requirements including inspections, testing and documentation.
- Manage non-conformances, defects, RFIs and technical queries through to resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, site activities, delays, variations and key project milestones.
- Support project completion, asset handover and close-out activities.

What We Are Looking For
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills,
attributes and experience:
- Demonstrated experience supervising construction works within mining, resources, infrastructure, road construction or earthworks environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of construction activities including earthworks, drainage, pavements and concrete works.
- Experience leading contractors and coordinating multiple work fronts in an operational workplace.
- Sound understanding of construction quality systems and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction schedules.
- Current White Card and Australian C-Class Driver's Licence.
- Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic project management systems.
