Urapuntja Aboriginal Corporation is seeking two motivated and community-minded professionals to join our Community Programs team, working with children, families and communities across the Urapuntja Homelands.

We are currently recruiting for two separate but closely connected positions:

- Coordinator – Community Programs – $100,000 p.a. + 12% Super
- Child and Family Centre (CFC) Program Facilitator – $85,000 p.a. + 12% Super

About Urapuntja

Urapuntja Aboriginal Corporation is the administrative body responsible for service delivery to Anmatyerre and Alyawarra speaking people living across 16 communities within the Angarapa and Alyawarra Land Trusts.

The Urapuntja Homelands cover approximately 3,230 square kilometres and are located around 250km north-east of Alice Springs.

Our Community Programs include Stronger Communities for Children, the Child and Family Centre, Play Our Way, Innovation, and Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Support.

Coordinator – Community Programs

$100,000 p.a. + 12% Super

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery and evaluation of Community Programs across the Urapuntja Homelands.

Working closely with community members, staff, boards, partner organisations and government departments, you will help ensure programs are well managed, responsive to local priorities and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading, supervising, mentoring and supporting program staff
- Coordinating the delivery and evaluation of Community Programs
- Managing program administration, reporting, data collection and resources
- Supporting program and project planning




- Building strong relationships with community stakeholders and partner organisations
- Supporting the identification and referral of young people at risk
- Coordinating relevant committee meetings and follow-up actions
- Ensuring programs operate in accordance with organisational, funding and safety requirements

You will ideally have tertiary qualifications in social work, education or community services, or commensurate relevant experience, together with at least three years' experience overseeing program or project delivery, including budgets and reporting.

CFC Program Facilitator

$85,000 p.a. + 12% Super

The Child and Family Centre takes a whole-of-community approach to supporting the early childhood development, health and wellbeing of children and families.

The program primarily supports children from birth to 12 years, with capacity to extend support to young people up to 18 years and their families.

This is a hands-on, community-facing role where you will:

- Plan, coordinate and deliver family programs, activities and workshops
- Deliver developmentally appropriate experiences for children
- Work closely with parents and families
- Support the identification and referral of children and young people at risk
- Support and mentor local staff
- Build relationships with community stakeholders and service providers
- Assist with program reporting, data collection and evaluation
- Support CFC Committee meetings and follow-up activities
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of programs

You will ideally have qualifications in social work and/or community services, or commensurate relevant experience, together with experience working with families and delivering community programs.

About you

For either position, you will need to be adaptable, practical and comfortable working in a genuinely remote environment.

You will bring an understanding of Aboriginal cultural, social and community networks and relationships and a demonstrated commitment to working respectfully and inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Both positions are primarily based at Arlparra and involve travel to communities throughout the Urapuntja Homelands, including travel on unsealed roads and occasional overnight stays.

Given the role involves working with children, families and potentially vulnerable community members, a demonstrated commitment to preventative health practices is highly desirable, including maintaining vaccinations recommended by NT Health for people working with children and in early childhood settings.

Successful applicants will require:

- Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
- National Police Criminal History Check with an acceptable outcome
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe
