Perth Festival is your summer invitation to otherworldly experiences. We’re a not-for-profit multi-arts festival that brings world-class performance, music, film, visual arts and literary events to Perth, Western Australia, every summer.

We are Australia’s longest-running arts festival. For more than 70 years we have celebrated Perth, its people and its culture on the shores of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River). Founded by The University of Western Australia and grounded on Noongar Boodjar, we are uniquely placed to celebrate the oldest living cultures in the world by championing rich Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions alongside bold contemporary arts practice.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Recruiter to join our People & Culture team on a fixed-term basis, supporting Perth Festival through a busy recruitment period. Reporting to the People & Culture Director, you’ll manage end-to-end recruitment across permanent, fixed-term, casual and Festival workforce positions, partnering with managers across the organisation to attract, select and retain high-quality, diverse talent.

This hybrid role offers 76 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) over a 5-month fixed term, a great opportunity to bring your recruitment expertise to a purpose-driven, not-for-profit organisation with deep cultural significance to Western Australia.

What You’ll Do

- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across permanent, fixed-term, casual and Festival workforce positions

- Partner with hiring managers to attract high-quality, diverse candidates

- Prepare job advertisements and recruitment documentation

- Coordinate sourcing, screening, interviewing and selection activities





- Facilitate employment offers, reference checks and pre-employment requirements

- Deliver a professional, engaging candidate experience and promote Perth Festival as an employer of choice

- Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice

- Build solid relationships with recruitment agencies, universities and industry networks

About You

Essential

- Extensive experience in high-volume recruitment

- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition activities

- Strong interviewing, candidate assessment and stakeholder management skills

- Experience using manual recruitment systems and applicant tracking platforms

- Sound knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment best practice

- Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills

- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously

- Ability to analyse recruitment data and provide workforce insights

- A genuine commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion

Desirable

- Experience within the arts, cultural, festival, events or not-for-profit sectors

- Experience recruiting seasonal, casual or project-based workforces

- Experience in employer branding and talent attraction initiatives

- Knowledge of workforce planning and onboarding processes
