Engineer Maintenance (Mechanical)
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Engineer Maintenance (Mechanical) to contribute to Council’s success.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide technical engineering advice and input, including detailed scoping and fault diagnosis, to support effective execution of planned maintenance work, primarily across the water and wastewater network.
Your role will include:
- Providing engineering technical support and advice to maintenance planners, stakeholders, employees and customers.
- Developing solutions for defects using technical documents, engineer designs, asset management plans and strategies.
- Assisting with scoping and problem solving, asset/ equipment condition, diagnosing faults and supporting initiatives/ improvements to sustain asset optimal life.
- Being present, pro-active and solutions-focused and recognise that the community is the core of our business.
You will bring:
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification.
2. Technical experience: In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices related to maintenance.
3. Experience in assessing asset condition, fault finding and diagnosis.
4. Experience in equipment failure analysis methods i.e. RCA, FMECA
5. Extensive experience and demonstrated skill in investigating alternate approaches and recommending solutions for unique and/or complex problems affecting work control and planning.
6. Proven experience in conceptualising and communicating (verbal and written) major elements of work planning to technical and non-technical personnel.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
8. Experience using CMMS, Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
9. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
