About The Role:
We are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers in Bundaberg with knowledge and understanding around complex behaviours in young people. This role will focus on supporting our young person emotionally, socially and physically while building a positive, trusting relationship and supporting greater independence.

The young person you will be supporting has a solid interest in music and shopping and is keen to focus on employment and building towards their future. We are looking for those who can connect with these interests and provide meaningful strengths-based support to help them work towards their goals, develop life skills and build confidence in the community.

You will work collaboratively with the operations team to deliver high-quality support, including assistance with personal care, medication, domestic tasks and meal preparation. You will also support community access, social activities, shopping, appointments and transport, while confidently supporting complex or challenging needs.

We're seeking candidates with flexible schedules, available for a mix of day, night and weekend shifts as needed, including 20 hours per week and every second weekend. Hours will vary between 10am and 10pm.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Certificate III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability, or equivalent is required.

- Minimum 1-2 years experience in disability support work or Disability Employment Support required

- Experience within residential care for youth is desirable

- Demonstrated experience with challenging and complex behaviours

- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

- Current Australian driver's license, registration and comprehensive insurance

- Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain

- Willingness to provide the required licences, certifications and e-learning prior to commencement
