For more than 150 years, Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) has supported schools and communities across the state. Today, we are Western Australia's second-largest education provider, supporting more than 84,500 students through a network of schools and nearly 14,000 staff.
We're seeking a First Nations Trainee to join our team within Catholic Education Western Australia, gaining valuable workplace experience in administration while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
This is a full-time one year fixed-term position commencing as soon as possible.

About the Role
Working in the School Improvement team based in the Broome Regional Office, success in this role will be demonstrated through the completion of a nationally recognised qualification in administration, the development of practical workplace skills, positive contributions to the team, and a commitment to learning, growth and supporting CEWA's culturally responsive education mission

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic First Nations person who is eager to learn, develop new skills and build a rewarding career. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, robust communication skills, reliability and a willingness to contribute to a team. Whether beginning their career journey or looking to gain experience in administration, they will be committed to completing their qualification,



embracing learning opportunities and making a meaningful contribution to their workplace and the broader CEWA community.
It is a genuine requirement for this position that the successful candidate be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as per section 50D of the equal opportunity act 1984.
Essential requirements:
Completion of Year 12 or equivalent study.Capacity and willingness to study towards (and complete) a Certificate III or IV in administrationFlexibility and the ability to work effectively with others in a team environmentKnowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Outlook.Commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
