About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with at least 3 years' experience to join our team and work closely with our Finance Manager.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, proactive and confident working independently. You will be an important support to the Finance Manager and will assist with the day-to-day running of our finance function.

We are looking for someone who doesn't simply wait to be told what to do. You should be able to take initiative, think outside the box, identify problems and find practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, Excel and CMS.

- Process customer invoices, supplier bills, expenses and payments.

- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

- Reconcile bank accounts and customer remittances.

- Follow up outstanding invoices and payment queries.

- Prepare debtor, invoice, payroll and other financial reports.

- Maintain accurate financial and employee records.

- Process employee leave and maintain leave records.

- Assist with monthly financial reporting requirements.

- Maintain organized and accurate financial records

- Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks.

- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role.

- Strong working knowledge of Xero and Excel.

- Experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and bank reconciliations.

- Good understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting processes.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.

- Someone who takes initiative and looks for ways to improve processes.

- Ability to think outside the box and solve problems.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Reliable, qualified and trustworthy.

- Ability to work collaboratively and provide strong support to the Finance Manager.

Work Environment

We are a remote-working team based in Perth, WA. The role is primarily remote/work-from-home.

Initial training and handover will be conducted in person to ensure a smooth transition and a thorough understanding of our systems, processes and responsibilities.

Following the initial handover, there may be a requirement to meet in person once or twice a month, as needed, for meetings, planning or other business requirements.
