What's on Offer

- Salary range between $80,937.73 - $93,557.54 p.a. (plus $12k pro rata cost of living allowance)
- 6-month maximum-term contract

About the Position

The Onslow Sun Chalet Caretaker is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Onslow Sun Chalets, ensuring guests receive excellent service and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

This is a genuinely hands-on caretaker role suited to someone who enjoys staying active,



takes pride in presentation and is comfortable turning their hand to a wide range of tasks. From welcoming guests and processing bookings through to making beds, cleaning rooms, maintaining grounds and undertaking minor maintenance, you'll play a direct role in every aspect of the facility's operation. Success in this role requires initiative, a strong work ethic and a willingness to roll up your sleeves whenever needed.

This position is responsible for:

- Welcoming guests, responding to enquiries and assisting with bookings and payments.
- Taking ownership of the overall presentation of the facility and proactively identifying and addressing housekeeping, maintenance and operational requirements.
- Undertaking housekeeping duties including room servicing, bed making, laundry and cleaning.
- Maintaining chalet facilities, grounds, pool areas and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
- Performing minor maintenance and general upkeep of accommodation facilities.
- Coordinating the day-to-day activities of a small number of support staff when required.
- Maintaining booking records, inventory and operational documentation.
- Supporting workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Assisting at other Shire accommodation facilities during busy periods or operational requirements.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- Experience in accommodation, hospitality, caravan parks, tourism, cleaning, caretaking or a similar operational environment.
- A proactive,



self-motivated approach and a willingness to actively participate in housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, grounds maintenance and facility upkeep as a core part of the role.
- The initiative to identify priorities, solve problems and take action with minimal supervision.
- A high level of personal pride in cleanliness, presentation and guest experience.
- Solid customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience coordinating staff or contractors is desirable, but extensive leadership experience is not required.
- Good administration and record-keeping skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- General handyman and maintenance skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours during peak operational periods.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
