Qualified Golf Course Superintendent
Corowa Golf Club is seeking the services of an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead an enthusiastic and motivated Greens maintenance team. Corowa Golf Club is nestled on the banks of the majestic Murray River, in the heart of the Rutherglen wine district.
With views of the Murray on one side and gorgeous fairways on the other. This makes the perfect backdrop to view every day at work. With a 21-hole championship golf course (27-hole layout – 6 holes currently not in play), pro shop, Driving range, clubhouse and luxury cinema.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Greens maintenance team and management in all aspects of course maintenance and presentation.

So, what duties can you expect to do:
- Standard Superintendent duties (including Turf Management, Agronomy, Irrigation and Environmental Management, Staff Development)
- High end Horticultural works
- Maintenance based tasks
- Operate Toro Lynx integrated systems
- Course set up and preparation
- Flora identification and management
- Work to maintain the golf course to the highest standard
- Some Human Resource related work (including OH&S;, Role Model and Educator)
- Asset Management
- Communication and Innovation
What are we looking for:
- Extensive experience in the management and maintenance of a private or public golf course
- Provide positive leadership in implementing the Club’s OH&S; Policy
- Someone with a genuine interest in the Greenkeeping sector
- Permanent fulltime working a 5-day working week with some rostered weekends and overtime as required
- Effective listening, verbal and written skills and the ability to work with people in a variety of circumstances and from various backgrounds
- Possess a thorough, organised, and detail-orientated approach to work
- Ability to apply effective time and self-management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate knowledge of turf maintenance and the management of commercial irrigation systems
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete records
- Knowledge and experience in chemical applications including pest and disease management
What will you need:
- Certificate/Diploma in Sports Turf Management, Irrigation or equivalent and/or extensive relative experience
- Construction White card
- A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- A current valid driver’s licence
- A current National Police check
- Chemical certificate
- Level 1 Chainsaw certification advantageous
