Accounts & Finance Opportunity

Immediate Start | 3-Month Temporary Assignment | Well-Known NT Organisation
An exciting prospect is available for an experienced Finance Officer to join a well-known Northern Territory organisation on a 3-month temporary contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure within a respected organisation while contributing to a busy and collaborative finance team.
This varied role will see you supporting key finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, cash management, fixed assets, and month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities

- Process purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.
- Monitor creditor balances and ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
- Follow up outstanding debtor balances and assist with collections.
- Process employee reimbursements accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly cash requirements schedules and monitor bank balances.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Complete bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Analyse and clear suspense accounts.
- Prepare journals and assist with month-end processes.
- Support audit preparation and compliance requirements.




- Provide finance support across multiple sites and assist with project work as required.

To be successful, you will possess:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A current NT Ochre Card, or the ability to obtain one.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within a not-for-profit environment.
- Experience using TechnologyOne or a similar ERP system.
