Who We Are
Ability in Disability (AID) is a registered NDIS provider working alongside Kalon Meraki, which has been supporting people with disability and their families across Western Australia for many years.

CURRENT VACANCIES
BUTLER – Active Overnight Behaviour Support
Monday–Sunday | 10:00pm–6:00am
We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Workers for active overnight support.
The role includes:
- Behaviour support throughout the night
- Toileting assistance
- Resettling and sleep support
- Monitoring wellbeing and changes in presentation
- Following Behaviour Support Plans and established strategies
- Accurate overnight documentation and handover
Applicants should be confident working independently overnight and responding calmly and therapeutically to behaviours of concern.
CLARKSON – High Intensity Support
We are seeking experienced High Intensity Support Workers with availability for:
Active Overnight
- Tuesday
- Thursday
- Saturday
Day Shifts
- Monday: 7:30am–3:30pm
- Wednesday: 7:30am–3:30pm
Monday and Wednesday supports include school-related shifts.
This participant is non-ambulant and requires high-quality complex care, including:
- Enteral feeding
- Respiratory monitoring
- Seizure monitoring
- Repositioning and pressure care
- Personal care
- Manual handling
- Community and school participation
You must be confident and competent driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle/van.
Previous experience supporting non-ambulant participants with complex medical needs is highly desirable.
COTTESLOE – Complex Clinical Active Overnight Support
Active Overnight | 9:00pm–7:00am
Current availability required:
- Fridays
- Alternating Saturdays
- Alternating Sundays
We are seeking experienced High Intensity Support Workers and/or Registered Nurses with competencies in complex clinical care.
Supports include:
- Tracheostomy care
- Airway and respiratory monitoring
- Adrenal insufficiency management and emergency protocols
- Enteral feeding
- Medication support
- Clinical observation
- Escalation and emergency response
- Active overnight care
Applicants must be confident working with complex clinical presentations and following individualised clinical care and emergency management plans.
KARDINYA – Behaviour Support | Female Youth
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behaviour Support Worker to support a young female participant with Autism and behaviours of concern.
Female Support Worker preferred due to the participant’s personal support needs and circumstances.
Current Shifts
Monday–Friday | 2:00pm–7:00pm
Supporting the participant and working alongside her family within the home setting.
Sunday | 10:00am–5:00pm
Community access alongside Dad.
This is a strongly family-centred role. We are looking for someone who understands that successful support means developing a relationship not only with the young person but working respectfully and collaboratively alongside their family.

MYKA PLACE – NEDLANDS
Youth Disability & Respite Support High intensity - nursing
Myka Place is our respite home in Nedlands, providing a welcoming environment for young people with disability and complex support needs.
We currently have several vacancies within our Myka Place team.
Youth Male – Autism, PICA & Sleep Support
Current shifts include:
- Monday overnight
- Tuesday overnight
- Tuesday community access: 2:00pm–9:00pm
- Wednesday: 7:00am–2:00pm
The participant is an active young male requiring support with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- PICA
- Sleep difficulties
- Behaviour and emotional regulation
- Community access
- Daily living activities
- Maintaining a safe environment
Applicants must be active, engaged and confident supporting a young person with PICA and associated safety risks.
Female Youth – High Intensity Support
Active Overnight – Thursday
We are seeking an experienced High Intensity Support Worker to support a young female participant with:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Seizure management requirements
- Non-verbal communication
- Non-ambulant support needs
- Personal care
- Repositioning and manual handling
- Overnight monitoring
Weekend Shifts
Additional monthly shifts include:
- Saturday: 7:00am–7:00pm
- Sunday: 7:00am–7:00pm
COTTESLOE – Youth High Intensity & School Support
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Support Worker to support a young person with Cerebral Palsy (CP) across morning, school transport and afternoon in-home supports.
Current Shifts
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
- Morning: 6:00am–9:30am
- Afternoon: 2:30pm–6:30pm
This role includes:
- Supporting a non-verbal young person with complex physical disability
- Personal care and morning routines
- Hoisting and safe manual handling
- Preparing for school
- Transporting the participant to and from school
- Supporting safe transfers in and out of a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
- Afternoon routines and activities of daily living
- Following individual care and support plans
- Working collaboratively with the participant’s family and broader support team
NOLLAMARA – Youth Autism & Community Support
We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to support a young person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across in-home and community-based shifts. Female Support Worker preferred due to the participant’s personal care needs and circumstances.
Current Shifts
In-Home Support
- Tuesday: 6:00am–9:00am
- Wednesday: 6:00am–9:00am
- Friday: 6:00am–9:00am
Community Access
- Monday: 2:00pm–5:00pm
- Wednesday: 2:00pm–5:00pm
- Friday: 2:00pm–5:00pm
Support requirements include:
- Autism-specific support
- Non-verbal communication
- Assistance with toileting and personal care
- Community access and participation
- Following established behaviour support strategies
- Behaviours of concern that are currently well managed with consistent support
- PRN medication support in accordance with the participant’s medication plan and worker scope/competency
- Working collaboratively with the participant’s family and broader support team
We are looking for someone who is patient, engaging and consistent and who understands the importance of a family-centred approach when supporting young people with disability.
WANNEROO – Female High Intensity Support Worker - Nurse
Female Support Workers required due to the participant’s personal care needs and circumstances.
Current Shifts
- Monday: 2:00pm–8:00pm
- Thursday: 2:00pm–8:00pm
- Saturday: 2:00pm–8:00pm
- Sunday: 2:00pm–8:00pm
This is a High Intensity Support role requiring workers who are experienced, trained and confident providing complex personal and clinical supports.
Support requirements include:
- Intermittent catheterisation/catheter care
- Dysphagia management and adherence to mealtime management plans
- Seizure monitoring and management
- Hoisting and complex manual handling
- Personal care and activities of daily living
- Clinical observation and escalation
- Accurate documentation and handover
- Working closely with the participant, family and clinical team
Applicants with demonstrated experience in High Intensity Daily Personal Activities, catheter care, dysphagia, seizure management and hoisting will be highly regarded.
