Are you an enthusiastic, creative and highly collaborative Arts educator looking for a part-time opportunity to make a meaningful impact? Sunnybank State School is seeking a passionate Arts Specialist Teacher to join our school community and deliver engaging, inspiring learning experiences across Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Drama and Media from Prep to Year 6.
Working 0.4 FTE across Monday and Tuesday, this role is an exciting opportunity to inspire students to explore, create, perform and communicate through a broad range of artistic disciplines. You will bring strong subject knowledge, creativity and a genuine passion for Arts education, while helping students build confidence, imagination, collaboration skills and their ability to express themselves.
What you'll bring
The successful applicant will be an engaging and innovative educator who can:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Arts lessons across Prep-Year 6.
- Differentiate learning experiences to respond to the diverse abilities, interests and needs of students.
- Provide meaningful opportunities for students to create, present, respond to and reflect on artistic works.
- Prepare and support students for performances, exhibitions, productions, assemblies and other school Arts events.
- Foster a positive,
inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every student feels encouraged to participate and create.
- Contribute to the wider school community through performances, exhibitions, celebrations and special events.
- Maintain high-quality resources, equipment, instruments and creative learning spaces.
- Collaborate positively with colleagues and contribute to a strong and supportive school culture.
