We are looking for a motivated Schools Officer, Grounds & Facilities to help keep our school safe, well-presented, and operating efficiently. In this varied role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and presentation of school grounds, sporting facilities, buildings, equipment, and outdoor spaces.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part time capacity (0.47FTE), 35.6 hours per fortnight.

Baringa State Primary School opened in 2018, catering for students from Prep to Year 6, is located at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, Aura - City of Colour, Australia's largest master planned community. About You:
We are seeking someone who:
- May have experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, facilities, property maintenance, or a similar role.
- Is self-motivated and capable of managing their workload with limited supervision.
- Has practical skills in general maintenance, repairs, and the operation of grounds care equipment.
- Takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and attractive facilities.
- Can identify problems, take initiative, and find practical solutions.
- Has strong communication skills and can work effectively with staff, students, and contractors.
- Understands workplace health and safety requirements and follows safe work practices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintaining lawns, gardens, trees, and landscaped areas.
- Mowing, brush cutting, watering, weeding,
and applying fertilisers where required.
- Preparing and maintaining sporting fields, courts, and outdoor recreational areas.
- Performing general repairs and coordinating maintenance works.
- Assisting with school events, furniture moves, and facility set-ups.
- Managing supplies, equipment, and stock.
- Supporting school security, including locking and unlocking facilities.
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring all tools and machinery are safe and serviceable.
Working with another Schools Officer on alternate days, this position is for Mondays and Tuesdays and a shorter roster on Wednesdays.
