Job Purpose
The VP Finance, Global Content Studio APAC is the senior finance business partner for the APAC Production and Content Sales businesses. The role supports the APAC Finance Director and regional business leaders with insight, challenge and commercial decision support; leads planning, reporting and performance management across APAC; and manages the Head of Production Finance and FP&A; team.
The role is also a key finance link between Australia and the UK based HQ finance team, building strong relationships and ensuring APAC performance, forecasts, risks and opportunities are accurately and consistently reflected in reporting and planning at a Global Content level.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Business Partnering & Commercial Support
- Partner APAC Global Content Studio leaders to improve performance and support strategic and operational decisions through clear financial insight and constructive challenge.
- Oversee the financial management of ANZ Production with the Director of Commercial and Business Operations and Head of Production Finance.
- Provide commercial finance support for production greenlights, contracts, investments and other business cases, including scenario modelling, NPV, profitability and break-even analysis.
- Build trusted relationships across APAC and global teams and promote joined-up decision-making.
Planning, Reporting & Global Alignment
- Lead monthly management reporting, budgets, forecasts and long-range plans for APAC Global Content Studio, including regional consolidation, executive reporting, cash flow, KPIs and variance analysis.
- Ensure all APAC submissions are accurate, complete, timely and compliant with Group requirements, with clear reporting of performance, risks, opportunities and actions.
- Work closely with the HQ finance teams in the UK and other global finance leads to align assumptions, plans and reporting, and ensure APAC is appropriately represented in global decision-making.
- Develop financial models and analysis to support strategy and commercial decisions.
Leadership, Controls & Improvement
- Lead and develop a small team of FP&A; analysts and the Head of Production Finance, setting clear priorities, objectives and development plans.
- Indirect reporting line of any Finance members of any SPVs / Indies
- Maintain robust controls, data integrity and compliance with governance and risk requirements.
- Simplify, standardise and automate reporting and support finance systems and transformation initiatives, including dashboards, self-service tools and approved AI tools.
- Share best practice and build finance capability across APAC and globally.

- APAC Finance, Group and Corporate Finance, Treasury, Tax, Finance Operations and systems teams.
- Outsourced Record-to-Report and Production Hub teams; Strategy, Data and Research.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related discipline and a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Senior FP&A; or commercial finance experience, ideally across APAC and within production, media or another project-based business.
- Strong finance business partnering, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across regional and global teams and work effectively across APAC and UK time zones.
- Strong reporting, budgeting, forecasting, modelling and analytical capability, with advanced Excel and experience of large ERP systems; SAP preferred and Power BI or Power Query desirable.
- Experience operating in a complex, matrixed, multi-entity or international organisation and translating complex financial information into clear commercial insight.
- Proven people leadership, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities, drive improvement and deliver high-quality outputs with limited oversight.
