About You

You will be a technically robust mining geologist with proven open cut coal mining experience and the confidence to translate geological information into practical, operational decisions. You will bring a solid safety mindset, sound judgement and the ability to build trusted working relationships across mining, planning, coal quality and technical teams.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Degree qualification in Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline.
A minimum of five years' experience in open cut coal mining operations.
Demonstrated coal commodity experience, which is essential for this role.
Solid capability in geological modelling, mapping and reconciliation processes.
Working knowledge of coal quality and its operational implications.




Experience supporting exploration drilling programs and geological database management.
Ability to interpret and communicate geological risk clearly to operational teams.
A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, collaboration and courageous leadership.
