We are seeking a creative, passionate and driven person to join our growing business in the role of chef. This is a hands on role that will be well suited to an individual that has relevant experience in a similar venue, is passionate about serving quality food and modern Australian cuisine & works well as part of diverse team.
The position will be full time, with a weekly roster and set days off. Must be available weeknights and weekends.
About Us
Built in 1942, The Bridgewater Hotel is situated against the majestic Loddon River. With a beautiful art deco design, it is said to have been inspired by the design on a pirate ship. Even with severe flooding in 2009 & 2011 the hotel has stood the test of time, the walls still bearing watermarks from the floods as a testament to its endurance.
Current publicans Virginia & Greg took over The Bridgewater Hotel in 2019 with a vision of what the beautiful building and backdrop could be transformed into. With extensive renovations over the following years both inside and out the historical building and surrounds have been turned into what they are today. Sporting a magical beer garden with eye catching views of the river and elegant décor inside our wonderful building is truly no longer a “small country pub”.
Currently operating for Lunch and Dinner, Wednesday to Saturday and Lunch on Sunday we aim to provide our patrons with an experience that is above a “small country pub”. We strive to offer contemporary food highlighting local producers, local wines and offer a relaxing atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in a fast paced kitchen environment
Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Ability to be creative and have input towards menu creation
A strong understanding of W.H.S
Willingness to mentor junior kitchen staff in correct kitchen procedures

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
