What are we looking for in our support workers ?
· A passion for people and a genuine interest in listening and responding to the needs of others.
· Positive communication skills, both written and verbal
· The physical capability to carry out a range of manual tasks.
· Broad shift availability
· The more available you are, the more work we can potentially offer you.
· Prepared to work shift work, which includes morning, afternoon and overnight (passive/sleep overs shifts are a must)
· Able to be on-call and pick up emergency shifts
Duties:
· Personal care and hygiene, domestic duties and medication
Moving around the home, sometimes using mobility equipment
Everyday tasks such as meal preparation, shopping or even budgeting
Attending appointments and getting out and about in the local community
Managing and supporting participant support needs
· Support workers are also required to complete documentation and case notes as well as progress reports after each shift.
Other Requirements :
· All support workers must have a current "C" class driver's licence and a roadworthy, registered and insured vehicle and willing to transport clients in their car
· Blue Card (or to obtain prior commencement)
· NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
· National Criminal History (Police) check
· You will need to complete a First Aid/CPR Certificate before you start
· NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate (We can assist with this)
· You must be eligible to work in Australia
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $31.00 – $90.00 per hour
