Workshop Laborer – Casual

We’re looking for a casual Workshop Labourer to join our team at GMMotorsport.

This is a hands-on role helping with the preparation and assembly of performance cylinder heads. Previous experience isn’t required — we’ll train you in the processes we use. We’re mainly looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and willing to learn.

Your Role

Your day-to-day work will include:
Cleaning and disassembling cylinder heads
Cleaning and preparing components for assembly
Buffing and grinding valves
Assisting with cylinder head preparation
Assembling finished cylinder heads
Keeping your work area clean and organised
General workshop assistance when required

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be a qualified mechanic or have previous cylinder head experience.

We’re looking for someone who:




Is proactive and willing to learn
Enjoys hands-on mechanical work
Takes pride in doing a job properly
Can follow instructions and learn recent processes
Is reliable and turns up on time
Has good attention to detail
Can work independently once trained

An interest in cars, engines or performance vehicles would be a bonus.

Hours

This is a casual position for a few hours per day, making it suitable for someone looking for adaptable part time work.

Full training will be provided for the specific tasks involved.

Pay: $27.67 – $35.00 per hour
