Front of House Waiter

Winston’s is a busy neighbourhood bistro and wine bar in the heart of Black Rock. We’re all about great food, thoughtful wine, warm hospitality and creating the kind of place people want to return to again and again.

We’re looking for an experienced Front of House Waiters to join our team. Someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people, loves food and wine, and understands that outstanding service is about being warm, confident, attentive and intuitive without ever feeling overly formal.

About You

You’re naturally warm, friendly and engaging

You have a genuine love of food, wine and hospitality

You’re confident talking guests through a menu and making thoughtful recommendations

You understand the importance of the little details and can read a table well

You’re skilled, polished and calm under pressure

You enjoy working as part of a close, energetic team

You’re reliable, organised and take pride in your work

Previous experience in a quality restaurant, bistro or wine bar is preferred

The Role

Deliver warm, knowledgeable and genuine service from the moment guests arrive





Take orders confidently and provide recommendations across our food and drinks menus

Build your knowledge of our wine list, cocktails and seasonal menu

Manage your section efficiently while keeping service relaxed and personal

Work closely with the kitchen, bar and wider front of house team

Help create a welcoming atmosphere where nothing feels like too much trouble

Maintain Winston’s standards across presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail

Build relationships with our regulars and make recent guests feel like locals
