About the role

Shield Recruitment is seeking External Audit, Accounting, Assurance and Financial Reporting professionals for multiple opportunities with a leading skilled services organisation in Canberra. These roles support Australian Government engagements, covering external audit, financial reporting, accounting advisory, assurance and finance transformation.

Key responsibilities
Deliver external audit and assurance activities
Prepare and review financial statements and reporting
Analyse financial information and identify risks
Assess financial controls and processes
Provide accounting and reporting advice
Support finance transformation and process improvement
Prepare high-quality working papers and client deliverables
Manage stakeholder relationships and engagement requirements
At senior levels, lead engagements and mentor junior team members





About you
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
1+ years' experience in external audit, accounting, assurance or financial reporting
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and qualified judgement
CA/CPA qualified, studying or eligible to commence
Big 4/mid-tier experience highly regarded
Australian Government experience advantageous
Australian citizenship required
Baseline/NV1 security clearance preferred
