Your current organisation is an established, multi-division national building services company with a significant Victorian operation, delivering ongoing service contracts to major commercial property owners and their facilities management partners across Melbourne's CBD and beyond. With a strong reputation built over more than two decades, they're now looking for an operations manager to join their Victorian team.

About this opportunity:
Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs, with occasional travel to Geelong
$110,000 – $120,000k p/a plus superannuation
Fully maintained company vehicle
Permanent, full time — newly created role with genuine long-term career growth
Schedule - 6:00am or 6:30am start, finish around 3:30pm or 4:00pm (adaptable)
Monday to Friday, plus a minimum of one Saturday per fortnight (paid as overtime, with the option to pick up more)

What you'll be doing:
Leading, coaching and mentoring a field-based service workforce, working through a team of supervisors
Allocating labour and equipment across multiple concurrent CBD and regional sites
Attending sites daily to oversee work in progress, support crews and resolve issues as they arise




Ensuring health and safety deliverables are met across all works, including high-risk activities
Liaising directly with clients — property owners, facilities managers and property managers — on service delivery and scheduling
Identifying additional work opportunities with existing clients while on site
Supporting the broader leadership team with operational administration and reporting
Working safely and in line with all site health and safety requirements at all times

To be considered for this role:
Minimum three years' experience leading a team, in a supervisory or on-site leadership capacity
Experience leading a team of at least ten people in a field-based, service delivery or operational setting
Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) and Victorian driver's licence
Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both frontline field staff and corporate clients
