VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our clients' business Global Vehicles Pty Ltd in Fawkner. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with robust communication skills.

Summary:

Global Vehicles Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Motor Mechanic to join its workshop team. The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining light vehicles, including imported Japanese vehicles handled by the business. Experience working with imported Japanese vehicles will be highly regarded.

Key Duties:
Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical faults in vehicle systems and components.
Using diagnostic computers, scan tools and workshop equipment to test vehicles and identify faults.
Carrying out scheduled servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, tune-ups and general maintenance.
Repairing and replacing worn, damaged or defective parts, including brakes, suspension, steering and other mechanical components.
Removing, refitting and adjusting vehicle components as required during service and repair work.
Testing and adjusting repaired mechanical parts to ensure proper performance and safe operation.




Checking vehicles for safety issues and recording any repair work or further maintenance required.
Assisting with pre-sale vehicle inspections, servicing and repairs where required.
Maintaining accurate service records and keeping the workshop area clean and protected.

Requirements:
Minimum Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, Automotive Mechanical Technology, or an equivalent relevant automotive qualification.
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic, Automotive Technician or similar.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults in light vehicles.
Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
Experience working with imported Japanese vehicles will be highly regarded.
Valuable understanding of workshop safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current driver’s licence is preferred.

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: $80,000.00 + superannuation
