Hatchery Assistant – Devon Meadows

APG is currently recruiting Hatchery Assistants for our client based in Devon Meadows, VIC.
This is a excellent opportunity for someone looking for ongoing work with a supportive team, where you can learn new skills and receive full on-the-job training. No previous hatchery experience is required.
What’s on offer?
$33.11 per hour- Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday
Monday & Tuesday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
Friday & Saturday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Onsite parking available
On-the-job training provided

About the Role
Working as part of the hatchery team, you will assist with a range of daily operations. This is a hands-on and physically active role, where you will be on your feet for most of the shift and working at a steady pace.
Your duties will include:
Transferring and stacking egg trays onto trolleys
Monitoring the incubation process
Cleaning equipment,



rooms and work areas
Operating tray washing equipment
Assisting with general hatchery duties
Following workplace health and safety procedures
Working as part of a team to ensure daily production targets are met

About You
We’re looking for people who are:
Physically fit and comfortable working on their feet
Comfortable lifting up to 20kgs
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working in a quick-paced environment
Able to follow instructions and workplace procedures
A good communicator
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Willing to learn and take on new tasks
