Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join the established in‑house legal team of a highly recognised Australian organisation with a significant national presence.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role offers a broad mix of disputes and commercial matters within a agile, rapid‑moving business workplace. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, providing practical and commercially focused legal advice on a wide range of operational issues.

Responsibilities
Insurance‑related claims and litigation
Managing externally run matters
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts and agreements
Flexible working arrangements with 1–2 days WFH
Office conveniently located close to public transport and parking available

Qualifications
Approximately 5–9 years’ PQE
Prior in‑house experience is essential
Experience across litigation/disputes and commercial contracting
Commercially minded with strong stakeholder engagement skills
Someone who enjoys variety and partnering closely with the business
