A leading financial services provider is seeking a Senior OpenShift Engineer with deep platform engineering and automation expertise to join its team on an initial twelve-month contract.
Joining a team-oriented OpenShift engineering team, you will be responsible for the build, maintenance and support of a large-scale OpenShift container platform. In this newly created role, you will support the onboarding of application teams onto OpenShift, as well as troubleshooting any issues. You will also get yours hands on experience with their new OpenShift AI platform designed to support internal LLM and GPU workloads.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
Deep hands-on experience engineering, deploying and operating OpenShift 4.x platforms within large, complex environments
Strong OpenShift infrastructure expertise, including cluster internals, operators, upgrades, capacity management and troubleshooting
Proven experience diagnosing complex storage and networking issues across ODF/Ceph, persistent volumes, TCP/IP, DNS, ingress, load balancing and firewalls
Advanced Linux administration skills, ideally within Red Hat environments
Robust automation and GitOps experience using Ansible, ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize and CI/CD pipelines
Bash and/or Python scripting skills for automation and tooling
Experience with bare-metal OpenShift, GPU infrastructure or OpenShift AI would be highly regarded
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently on platform engagements while contributing effectively within a close-knit engineering team
This client offers highly versatile hybrid working arrangements, with hybrid working (two days per week in the office) and an attractive daily rate.
