Cyber Security Analyst – Contract Role + Permanent EOIs | NV1 Required

Drive priority cyber security uplift initiatives across a complex ICT setting, supporting Essential Eight implementation, cyber risk remediation and assurance evidence preparation. This prospect is initially advertised as a contract role, with expressions of interest also welcomed from cyber security professionals open to future permanent opportunities.

Location: Canberra, ACT

Engagement Type: Contract chance, plus permanent expressions of interest

Contract Duration: 12 months with possible 2 x 12-month extensions

Security Clearance Requirement: Current NV1 clearance required

Essential Tasks:
Analyse Essential Eight control requirements and assessment findings.
Translate cyber risks and assurance outcomes into structured uplift activities.
Support uplift backlogs, planning artefacts,



documentation and reporting.
Engage stakeholders to clarify control intent, evidence needs and priorities.

Key Criteria:
Experience or qualifications in cyber security, ICT, risk management or similar.
Understanding of cyber security controls and assurance concepts.
Experience supporting cyber or ICT initiatives through analysis or coordination.
Solid communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts.
