Principal Investigator | Conduct Investigations | Six Months | Brisbane Inner North

Our client is seeking an experienced investigator to join a specialist investigations team responsible for managing sensitive and complex misconduct matters. This is an opportunity to contribute to ethical decision-making, strengthen governance frameworks, and support a high-performing public sector organisation committed to serving Queensland communities.

Reporting to a senior leader, you will undertake and case manage investigations into allegations of staff misconduct while providing expert advice on complaints management, compliance, risk mitigation and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and case manage complex and sensitive workplace investigations.
Assess allegations and complaints in line with legislative and policy frameworks.
Prepare comprehensive investigation reports, briefs, submissions and recommendations.
Provide high-level advice regarding misconduct, complaints management and compliance matters.
Identify systemic issues and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to organisational policy development relating to integrity, ethical conduct and governance.




Engage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Support awareness programs focused on integrity, ethics and qualified standards.

About You To be successful, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience managing complex workplace misconduct investigations.
Strong knowledge of administrative investigations, complaints management and governance frameworks.
Experience preparing detailed investigation reports for senior decision makers.
Outstanding written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Experience within a government, regulatory, integrity, oversight or compliance environment will be highly regarded.
