An exciting chance for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a growing professional services firm. This role will see you manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, providing technical payroll expertise and acting as a key point of contact for complex queries and escalations.

The Role:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of external clients
Process complex payroll calculations, including Awards, EBAs, terminations and leave
Complete payroll reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting
Manage superannuation, payroll tax and STP obligations
Act as a key escalation point for complex payroll queries and issues
Build solid relationships with clients and external stakeholders
Identify and escalate payroll risks and compliance issues
Contribute to process improvement and payroll system optimisation
Provide guidance,



support and mentoring to Payroll Officers and Specialists
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and best practice

About You:
5+ years’ payroll experience
Experience managing multiple external clients within public practice
Robust knowledge of payroll legislation and Awards
Experience with MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail
The ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
