We are currently recruiting an experienced Sand Blaster to join a well-established Australian manufacturer on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a hands-on workshop role working within a busy production environment preparing metal components for painting and finishing.
Your new role
Abrasive blasting of steel and aluminium components
Surface preparation including removal of rust, scale and existing coatings
Operating blasting equipment and maintaining blast media levels
Using grinders, wire brushes and other preparation tools as required
Inspecting surfaces to ensure quality standards are met prior to coating
Assisting with general workshop and manufacturing duties
Maintaining a clean and secure work setting
Following all WHS procedures and company standards What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Sand Blaster, Abrasive Blaster or Industrial Surface Preparation Operator
Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or industrial environments
Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements
Reliable and able to work independently or within a team
Physically fit and capable of manual handling What you'll get in return
