Berwick Village Jewellers is looking for a friendly and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our family owned team in our Berwick, VIC store. This is a casual position, offering adaptable working hours. Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with product selection
Maintaining a neat and tidy store presentation
Processing sales transactions, including cash handling and operating the point-of-sale system
Restocking and replenishing merchandise as needed, including ticketing and display upkeep
Maintaining and updating the customer database accurately
Reporting to and supporting the Store Manager with general duties as required
Working closely with our marketing department, including assisting with social media and taking photos for content
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role (jewellery experience is an advantage)
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Trustworthiness, enthusiasm, dedication, and a positive attitude
Confidence using computers and digital systems (POS, basic apps, and social media platforms)
Experience working with customer databases is essential
Marketing or social media experience is highly regarded
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, with Fridays and Saturdays being essential
