We are currently looking to recruit additional Traffic Escort Wardens to join our client as Heavy Vehicle Escort Wardens, providing escort services for industry for oversize and over-mass loads across Perth and Regional WA.

Work will be offered on a scheduled basis and will involve travelling throughout metro and regional WA. You will be required to work outside of usual business hours and will also be required to stay away from home for 6+days at a time.

Full training will be provided for successful candidates. Ideally we are looking for experienced applicants with a background in Police / Law enforcement, Occupational Safety and Health or management / supervision experience within the heavy haulage transport or mining and resources sectors.

The Role

Traffic Escort Wardens will be required to perform some or all of, but will not be limited to the following activities:
Ability to work up to 14 hours per day (i.e. not limited to, but can include early morning to early evenings or late afternoons to late mornings)




Ability to work up to 10 days straight working long hours
Able to drive at slow speeds constantly during escorts – especially if the escort involves an extremely wide load or is of a considerable mass
Capacity to start early in the morning or late at night
At all times during traffic escorts, must have a zero alcohol and drug tolerance
Ability to work in inclement weather from extreme heat to the extreme cold
Performing traffic management duties (points duty) in all weather conditions and road settings

Essential:
Calm and professional manner
Excellent leadership skills
Current C Class license or higher
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valuable computer / IT skills
Experience working in a similar position
Ability to pass a Commercial Drivers Medical and D&A;
Knowledge of Road Traffic Act
Able to Operate 2 way radios effectively
