Experienced Bookkeeper / Transactional Accountant

Are you an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys variety, values robust client relationships and takes pride in keeping accounts accurate and organised?

Evolv Accountants is looking for a capable and dependable Bookkeeper / Transactional Accountant to join our team. You’ll manage the day-to-day accounting needs of a diverse portfolio of clients while working closely with our accountants and clients.

What you’ll be doing
Managing bookkeeping and transactional accounting for multiple clients
Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Preparing and lodging BAS
Processing payroll, superannuation and related obligations
Maintaining accurate general ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations
Completing month-end processing and reporting
Preparing management reports and useful financial information
Identifying and resolving discrepancies in client accounts
Using platforms such as Xero, MYOB, Dext and Hubdoc
Communicating directly with clients to answer queries and obtain information
Supporting our accountants with clean, accurate and up-to-date client files

About you





You’ll be a outstanding fit if you:
Have solid bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience
Can confidently manage multiple clients and competing deadlines
Are highly proficient in Xero and MYOB
Have experience with Dext and Hubdoc
Can prepare BAS and have a good understanding of GST
Are experienced in payroll and familiar with payroll compliance
Can prepare clear and meaningful management reports
Are organised, efficient and accurate
Communicate confidently with clients and colleagues
Take ownership of your work and solve problems proactively
Work well independently and as part of a team
