Food & Beverage Attendant | Kangaroo Island, SA

About the Role We are seeking a personable and qualified Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team at Southern Ocean Lodge, a globally acclaimed luxury lodge on Kangaroo Island’s rugged south west coast. In this guest-facing role, you will provide warm, attentive service in our restaurant, bar, and lounge areas to create memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, effective table service in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner
Engage with guests to understand their preferences and make tailored recommendations
Maintain expert knowledge of the lodge’s food and beverage menus, including local ingredients, wine pairings and cocktails
Set up and maintain dining spaces to an impeccable standard
Assist with mise en place, polishing cutlery and glassware, and general restaurant preparation
Process payments and manage guest billing in the POS system
Participate in regular training on service standards, menu updates and F&B; knowledge

About You The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar F&B; role, preferably in a premium hotel, restaurant or resort
Genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences




Confidence and charm in engaging with a discerning clientele
Excellent food and beverage knowledge, especially of South Australian wines
Impeccable grooming and presentation
Flexibility to work a roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
