Position: Databricks Platform Lead

Location: Sydney

Contract: 6+ Months and Extendable

Job Details:

Must Have Skills:

 Databricks Expertise (Critical): Deep hands-on experience with Databricks architecture and administration.

 Cloud Platform Knowledge: Solid experience in at least one major cloud platform: 

Azure (preferred if using Azure Databricks), AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

 Leadership & People Management: Team mentoring and coaching, Delivery management,

Performance management.

 Governance & Security: Expertise in Access control and RBAC, Compliance and audit awareness, Data security principles.

Nice to Have Skills:

 Advanced Databricks Capabilities :



Experience with Databricks Certified Qualified certifications. Databricks Lakehouse architecture design, MLflow and MLOps knowledge.

 Knowledge of DevOps & Platform Engineering: Familiarity with CI/CD implementation,

GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

 Advanced Data & Analytics Skills : Exposure to Data Engineering background, PySpark development, SQL optimization.

 Leadership Skills : Experience in Vendor & Partner Management, , Business &

Communication Skills, Strategic Leadership.
