Business Development Manager – Transport & Logistics

Ontime Haulers is a growing Brisbane-based transport and logistics company. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help us win new customers, develop new business opportunities and secure ongoing transport contracts.

This is a genuine new-business sales role. We are looking for a motivated “hunter” who can identify opportunities, build relationships with decision-makers and turn prospects into long-term customers.

Key responsibilities
Identify and target new business opportunities
Generate leads and build your own sales pipeline
Develop relationships with logistics, procurement, supply chain and operations managers
Win current transport and logistics customers
Secure recurring freight volumes and transport contracts
Attend customer meetings and site visits
Prepare proposals and quotations and negotiate commercial terms
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Work closely with our operations team to provide suitable transport solutions
Achieve agreed sales,



revenue and current-customer targets

Our services include same-day and overnight freight, palletised transport, tailgate deliveries, commercial-to-residential deliveries, dedicated vehicles, permanent vehicle hire, taxi trucks, bulk freight, regional distribution, warehousing and cross-docking.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within transport, freight, logistics, 3PL or supply chain.

Transport industry experience and an existing network of business contacts will be highly regarded.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a proven ability to win new customers and generate current revenue, rather than simply manage existing accounts.
