The Walshe Group is the dedicated Passenger General Sales Agent (GSA) for Delta Air Lines in Australia and Current Zealand. The company provides a dedicated sales team supporting the growth of Delta Air Lines sales and market share for their online operations from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The position of Agency Sales Account Executive is specific to the territories of Victoria, with particular focus on developing sales for Delta’s Melbourne-Los Angeles service. The Agency Sales Account Executive will liaise closely with the Agency Sales Manager Australia and other Agency Sales Account Executives and will undertake sales activity in Victoria and, as required nationally, to support the national account goals and objectives for retail agency sales.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales person who is comfortable generating sales lead with new clients and maintaining relationships with existing ones. This candidate will be able to understand a prospective client's needs and offer an ideal solution. The ideal candidate will have solid communication skills and have a positive track record of exceeding outlined goals.

Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth




Build and strengthen relationships with local strategic partners
Identify and develop new business opportunities
Provide on-the-ground support that enhances Delta Air Lines' commercial performance and presence in the market
Budget and allocate resources efficiently to maximize outcomes

Experience required
Previous experience successfully managing a sales territory in aviation, travel or tourism
A thorough understanding of the various market segments, key travel industry stakeholders and distribution structure in the Australian travel industry
Established relationships with the local travel trade
First-hand knowledge/experience of the Australia-USA Transpacific aviation market highly desirable

Qualifications
A formal qualification in travel and tourism, business or communications is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and customer relationship management software
Demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them
Solid communication skills and understanding of sales process
Must have a valid driver's license
