Located on the waterfront in Cairns City QLD 4870, Vitalia’s Italian Restaurant is a welcoming Italian dining venue currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Attendant to become part of their team. Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and soft drinks.
Providing friendly, professional, and attentive service to customers throughout their dining experience.
Taking beverage orders accurately and providing recommendations to customers when required.
Preparing the bar area before service and ensuring it remains clean, organised, and well presented throughout each shift.
Monitoring and replenishing bar stock, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies as required.
Handling payments and operating point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently.
Ensuring responsible service of alcohol and compliance with relevant liquor licensing requirements and workplace procedures.




Working closely with restaurant and kitchen staff to provide efficient and coordinated service.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace health and safety within the bar and service areas.

About you:
At least one year of relevant experience as a Bar Attendant or in a similar hospitality role.
Positive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant setting.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hospitality team.
Qualified presentation and a friendly, customer-focused approach.
Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol requirements and relevant hospitality standards.

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time Salary: $68,000 - $75,000 per annum
