Ideally you have a background in the Medical Device industry but this role is open to experienced Inventory professionals from outside of MedTech
The Company
Our client is a well-established organisation specialising in Orthopaedic equipment (Trauma, Sports Medicine and Joint Reconstruction). Due to growth in the business, an chance has arisen for an experienced Inventory Controller to join the Victorian Operations team based in Melbourne.
The Role
This permanent, full time role is perfect for someone who understands the complexity of managing inventory in a dynamic business. Responsibilities include:
Managing existing inventory levels and liaising with DCs and 3PLs around Australia
Completing cycle counts, reconciliations & stock-takes
Participation in audits (primarily regarding expired / quarantined stock)
Completion of investigations into discrepancies and follow ups in the system
Understanding of short-dated / expired stock
Understanding of batch swaps
Reporting on stock (eg. expired stock report from Excel)
About You
You have a background inventory management with at least 18 months’ experience
You have advanced Excel skills and have experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
You have an understanding of short-dated stock and have previously managed expired stock
You're familiar with the consignment stock model and the associate challenges
