We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual with a keen eye for detail to join our team full time. A key objective of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient data entry, maintenance of employee records, and support processing activities.

Finance Officer

As the Finance Officer you will play a vital role in supporting our Directors in ensuring timely and accurate accounts and payroll processing, and provide accounting services across multiple group companies.

Key Responsibilities
Taxation & Compliance
Prepare, review, and lodge all required tax returns, including:
BAS / IAS
GST
PAYG withholding
Long Service Leave (MyLeave)
FBT (if applicable)
Ensure compliance with ATO and State Revenue Office (WA) requirements
Liaise with the ATO, OSR WA, auditors, and external accountants as needed
Stay up to date with changes in tax and payroll legislation
Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records
Manage and process superannuation, PAYG withholding, and payroll tax obligations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Reconcile bank accounts, payroll accounts, and balance sheet items
Monthly Progress Claims calculations and processing




End of Month accounts processing
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Support year-end financial statements and audit processes

Skills & Experience
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) preferred
Proven experience in an accounting role with hands‑on payroll and tax responsibility
Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, payroll, and superannuation
Experience with accounting software (preference Xero)
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
