Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist – Anaesthesia | Central Queensland

Join a growing anaesthetic department at a major regional referral hospital in Central Queensland.

Working alongside the Director of Anaesthesia, you'll provide specialist anaesthetic care across obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, dental procedures and procedural sedation - plus pre-anaesthetic clinics, acute pain rounds and perioperative care.

The hospital runs four theatres, two procedure rooms and an 8-bed ICU/HDU, and is accredited for specialist anaesthesia training. You'll contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, research and the supervision of trainees and junior medical staff, with scope to support surrounding facilities across the regional network.

Experience in acute and/or chronic pain management will be highly regarded.



This role suits both experienced consultants and newly qualified FANZCA/SIMG Substantially Comparable specialists looking to build their consultant career in a supportive, collegiate department.

MBBS with AHPRA registration eligibility
FANZCA (or eligibility) - specialist registration in Anaesthesia
