Location: Brisbane CBD based. Engagement until June 2026 with 2 × 6 month extensions. Government sector.

About the role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of ethical AI? We seek an experienced qualified to lead strategic initiatives that ensure the safe and responsible use of AI across government.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert on ethical and protected AI practices.
Develop frameworks, policies, and guidelines for responsible AI use.
Lead strategic AI projects ensuring compliance with ethical standards, human rights, and privacy regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and assurance activities to mitigate AI‑related risks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote awareness and capability in responsible AI practices.

Required Skill Set
Strong expertise in AI ethics, governance, and risk management preferably within public/government sector.
Proven ability to lead strategic projects and influence stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
High‑level written and verbal communication skills.




Ability to stay ahead of emerging AI trends and technologies.
