Overview
This is a vacancy for a Fixed Term or Permanent appointment at 30.40 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. We currently have 0.4 FTE available.
Responsibilities
Plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate Occupational Therapy services for patients in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery clinical area.
Apply advanced Occupational Therapy clinical practice skills to improve patient safety and quality of care.
Practice as a Senior Occupational Therapist and ensure compliance with Occupational Therapy qualified registration requirements, standards, codes, guidelines, and SMHS policies.
Contribute to multidisciplinary team activities, including patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Must hold a valid working visa for fixed term appointments, or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia for permanent appointments.
Clinical experience in Occupational Therapy, particularly within a surgical or acute care setting, is required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead within a multidisciplinary environment.
