Make a real difference in your community by helping people access food with dignity, warmth and respect.
As a Foodbank Food Hub Volunteer, you will be part of a friendly team helping deliver positive food to South Australians and Northern Territorians experiencing hardship. Our Food Hubs are designed to feel like a small supermarket, giving individuals and families the chance to choose the food they need in a welcoming and respectful setting.
In this role, every smile, conversation, stocked shelf and helping hand contributes to someone feeling supported during a difficult time. You will not only help keep the Food Hub running smoothly — you will help create an experience where clients feel seen and supported.
What you will do
Welcome and assist clients with kindness, patience, and respect
Help process client shops using the computer system
Unload, sort and organise stock deliveries
Restock shelves so clients can easily find the food and groceries they need
Work alongside a small, supportive team to create a positive Food Hub experience.
This role may be perfect for you if you
Enjoy meeting people and making them feel welcome
Are compassionate, reliable, and respectful of client confidentiality
Like working as part of a friendly, hands-on team
Can support people from diverse backgrounds with empathy and understanding
Are comfortable with some light and occasional heavy lifting.
Requirements
A National Police Check is required. If you do not already have one, we can help you obtain it.
