Sutherland Heart Clinic is seeking a dedicated Receptionist Bookings Officer to join our administration team on a part time basis 3 days per week located in Caringbah, NSW 2229. As Receptionist Bookings Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and a vital member of our administrative operations. Your role will ensure theatre bookings are managed efficiently, and patients receive exceptional service from the moment they interact with us. This position is fundamental to delivering a positive patient experience and supporting our Cardiologists and clinical operations.

Key responsibilities
Greeting patients in a warm and professional manner upon arrival
Managing patients surgical bookings for multiple doctors
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and administrative documentation
Processing patient registration and intake information
Handling patient inquiries regarding preadmission, fasting times, and general clinic information
Managing the reception desk and maintaining a clean and welcoming workplace
Providing accurate Informed Financial Consents and managing basic financial transactions in accordance with clinic procedures
Supporting the clinical and administrative team with general office duties as required





What we're looking for
Proven experience working in a medical or healthcare reception workplace
Excellent organisational with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Attention to detail in managing administrative tasks and patient record
Robust communication skills, both written and verbal, with a skilled and empathetic approach
Proficiency in using medical booking systems and general computer applications
A patient-focused attitude with the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to attendance
Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
