Job Description

Carbone Lawyers is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Melbourne. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the chance to work in a energetic legal environment. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential support to our legal team and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. Your main tasks will include:
Assisting with legal research, document preparation, and case management
Managing client communications and appointments
Handling administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records
Supporting lawyers in court preparation and attending hearings when required
Collaborating with internal teams to facilitate effective workflow and client service

Desired Skills and Experience





You will have previous experience in a similar role with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. You will also have:
Excellent knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, particularly within personal injury law
Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Proficiency in using MS Office and legal research databases
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
A keen eye for detail and the ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
An understanding of confidentiality obligations and the ethical standards of the legal profession
A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
