Nurselink Healthcare is seeking reliable and compassionate
Disability Support Workers
to provide person-centred support to a client in the
Ballarat area
.
We are looking for support workers of
any gender
who have a sound understanding of neurological disabilities.
Knowledge or experience supporting people living with Huntington's Disease will be highly regarded.
The role involves helping the client maintain independence, participate in the community and manage day-to-day activities in a respectful and supportive manner.
Key Duties
Provide disability support in the client's home and community
Assist with
community access and social participation
Provide
prompting and support with personal care
Undertake
light household cleaning duties
Support the client with daily routines and maintaining independence
Provide respectful, patient and person-centred care
Observe and communicate any changes in the client's support needs
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Compassionate, patient and reliable
Comfortable supporting a person with a neurological disability




Familiar with or willing to develop a robust understanding of
Huntington's Disease
Able to communicate clearly and professionally
Able to work independently and follow individual support plans
Available across
7 days of the week
, including a variety of shifts
Comfortable working shifts of a
minimum of 2 hours
Previous experience working in disability, community care, neurological support or complex care will be highly regarded.
Relevant qualifications, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR and other required compliance documentation should be current or obtainable prior to commencement.
