We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing Business Services and Tax team in Toowoomba. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business owners, high-net-worth individuals and a diverse portfolio of clients. You will have great support from junior accountants and off-shore team helping you do the heavy lifting.
Key responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and individuals
Manage a portfolio of business services and taxation clients
Provide proactive tax and business advice to clients
Assist with tax planning, cash flow management and business performance discussions
Prepare and review BAS, IAS and other compliance lodgements
Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
Support the integration of client files, accounting records and practice workflows
Mentor and support junior team members where required

What you will bring
2+ years experience within a public practice accounting firm
Solid technical knowledge across business services and taxation
Proficiency in Xero and XPM, with exposure to CAS360, Now Infinity and Ignition highly regarded
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes
CA/CPA qualifications not essential, highly regarded
