The Opportunity
Help shape the future of transport in one of Australia's most desirable coastal communities. In this leadership role, you'll drive the delivery of Noosa's Transport Strategy, leading sustainable transport initiatives, managing key projects, and working with stakeholders to create a connected, efficient and environmentally responsible transport network.

$121,071 base annual salary
$137,425 Total Remuneration Package which is based on a full-time employee and inclusive of 12% Employer superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading.

About You
You're an experienced transport, traffic or infrastructure skilled with a passion for sustainable transport outcomes. You bring strong leadership skills, strategic thinking and the ability to manage complex projects while balancing community, environmental and operational priorities. A collaborative communicator, you excel at building relationships, influencing stakeholders and delivering practical solutions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery and implementation of Noosa's Transport Strategy and associated transport initiatives
Manage and coordinate transport and traffic projects, including planning, design, stakeholder engagement and project delivery
Provide strategic leadership and technical advice on transport planning, traffic management and sustainable mobility solutions
Lead and develop the Transport and Traffic team,
fostering a high-performing and customer-focused culture
Skills and Experience
Demonstrated leadership experience within transport planning, traffic engineering or a related field
Extensive experience delivering integrated transport and traffic planning projects and initiatives
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Proven ability to analyse complex issues and develop practical, strategic solutions
High-level stakeholder engagement, consultation and communication skills
Experience advocating for sustainable transport outcomes within complex community and political environments
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Project Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Current C Class driver licence
Professional membership, or eligibility for membership, of Engineers Australia, Australian Institute of Project Management, Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia or a similar professional body (desirable)
